System meldown

On Sunday 7th January the data centre that was providing the hosting for Loquela Language Online suffered a very rare and total breakdown causing all our remote backups to be completely lost. Thankfully, Educational Web Design who assist with the development of Loquela Educational Online and have provided occasional maintenance support had retained a separate backup dating back to 28th November 2006.

Although we have been able to recover the majority of our website, everything that has been uploaded during the month of December is gone forever. This includes registration details of all new members who joined in December.

We are extremely grateful that as of Thursday 9th January 2007, Educational Web Design has now taken over all hosting, support and maintenance operations and Loquela Education Online now resides in a new UK-based data centre on Dual Intel Xeon Processor based operating systems connected through a 100% Cisco Gigabit network. This means we are now bigger, faster and more powerful than before. Educational web Design has also configures a far more robust backup system that should ensure that this same disaster can never happen again.

We offer our deepest apologies for any inconvenience caused and hope that we can get Loquela Education Online back up to full capacity as soon as possible.
